Life Sciences Services
A variety of Life Science innovations and services are available through CET. Our staff bridges a wide range of disciplines to achieve the most effective defense against chemical and biological risks to human health and to the environment. We have characterized risks and provided corrective steps or technologies in diverse settings that range from battlefield to luxury cruise ship.
CET Life Science expertise includes microbiology, molecular biology, medicine, public health and infection control, environmental sampling & assay, formulation and analytical chemistries and photochemistry. CET services include:
Microbiological laboratory services, including microbial growth and characterization (genetic, physicochemical, biochemical, immunological, antibiotic & microbicidal sensitivity/ resistance and microscopy)
Analytical chemistry including gas chromatography (GC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), absorption spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy (MS)
Assay development for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) weapons of mass destruction (WMDs)
Public health preparedness and emergency response policy and protocol development
Advanced decontamination simulation and training support
Environmental health assessments and innovative, cost-effective solutions
Microbial bioburden characterization and control
Innovations and Services
CET’s Life Sciences team is made up of experts in comprehensive problem-solving using interdisciplinary tools.
Our development of microbicidal products combined expertise in microbial physiology and genetics, statistics, formulation chemistry, photochemistry, material science, engineering, industrial scale-up, public health and regulatory affairs.
Our development of toxic chemical neutralization utilized expertise in formulation chemistry, simulant development and validation, analytical and physical chemistries, material science and occupational health & safety.
Our chemical and radiological training simulants were a product of the combination of formulation chemistry, biochemistry, human subjects testing, training principles and regulatory affairs.
We also welcome unidisciplinary problems, such as solutions to contamination problems, PCR, cloning, fermentations, high-throughput assays and analytical chemistry.
