Peridox® with EDS: First EPA-Registered Anthrax Spore Decontaminant

Currently the only product of it’s kind available for purchase!

Peridox® with EDS decontaminant kills spores by ultraviolet (UV) light-activated anti-microbial chemistry.

Using a two-step process, a thin layer of Peridox® with EDS decontaminant liquid is first applied to a surface with the EDS electrostatic sprayer. The resulting electrically charged aerosol has the ability to wrap around complex surfaces to ensure thorough coverage.

After 3 minutes of contact by Peridox® with EDS decontaminant liquid, a 1- to 2-second exposure with UV light kills greater than 6 logs of Bacillus anthracis spores. No toxic residue is left behind.

Peridox® with EDS decontaminant has excellent material compatibility and can be used even on most optical gear and electronics.

With only a few minutes of setup, the EDS can treat about 5 square meters per minute. This means that it only takes a few minutes to decontaminate several PPE-suited persons, or items such as a vehicle or a shipping container.

Peridox® with EDS decontaminant enables a significant reduction in decontamination time for emergency, tactical, and remediation operations, and will lead to major changes in how emergency response and recovery is performed.
